Athletics
Rynfield Primary School has shown, that we are the athletics Giant on the East Rand. We have been the proud winners of the Inter Primary Athletics for the past four consecutive years.
Cricket
Cricket at RPS has grown in stature over the last few seasons. The U/13 cricket team attended a training clinic at Jubaweni during the July School Holidays and won four our of five matches.
Cross Country
RPS has shown their strength in the cross country league. The enthusiasm accompanying the sea of red and white athletes is a force to be reckoned with. All learners are encouraged to participate in cross country as it is one of the few sports where we are not necessarily limited to numbers.
Hockey
(Only just introduced) The juniors are turning out en mass full of enthusiasm as we embark on the new sport of Hockey.
Netball
Our girls show true heart, grit, character, courage and spirit, in every difficult league. We were very proud of our Rynfield "Red and White" lasses. We hope to take Netball from strength to strength in years to come. Click here to view the Netball criteria
Rugby
Congratulations to all our rugby teams on an exceptional season. They definitely showed heart, spirit and courage. A rugby ethos has transcended over our school and our parents need to be congratulated on their tremendous support of our teams.

Soccer
Soccer at RPS is alive and well. The teams played soccer of a high standard this season and obtained some impressive results. There is a positive spirit amongst our players. Keep up the good sportsmanship.
Softball
Newly introduced in 2007, the girls are thoroughly enjoying playing Softball and showing great promise. Softball is available for both boys and girls in the senior phase.
Swimming
2007 has proved to be the most rewarding season in the history of the school. The team performed admirably at the inter primary league galas. Thank you to all the swimmers and teachers involved.
Tennis
We have many enthusiastic players who have attended practices on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. Teams have been entered into for the A, B, C leagues for the forthcoming season.
